Our privacy policy and how we use your data

LocalShopCart, operated by Minervit LLC, is the online ordering platform used by participating local shops, including Special T Meats, to take pickup order requests from their customers. “We” and “us” in this policy mean Minervit LLC, trading as LocalShopCart. This policy explains what information we collect through this site, why we collect it, and who it is shared with. It applies to customers placing pickup order requests and to feedback submitted through the app.

Information we collect

When you place a pickup order request or use the app, we collect:

  • Your name and phone number
  • Your email address, if you choose to provide one
  • Your SMS opt-in choice (whether you asked to receive order-status text messages)
  • Details of your pickup order request — the items, quantities, notes, and your requested pickup date and time
  • Release and build identity information attached to any feedback you submit in the app, so we can tie your comment to the version of the app you were using

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • Prepare and fulfil your pickup order request and contact you about it
  • Send you order-status text messages, but only if you gave your express opt-in at checkout
  • Respond to and follow up on feedback you submit through the app

A pickup order is a request: it stays pending until the shop's Head Butcher reviews and confirms it. We never guarantee fulfilment before that confirmation. Payment is taken in person at pickup — we do not take payment online, and this policy does not describe an online payment or refund process because none exists in the current pilot.

Sharing

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing purposes. We share information only with the service providers we need to deliver this service — for example, our cloud hosting provider, our email delivery provider, and our SMS delivery provider — and only to the extent needed to operate the site and deliver your messages.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

SMS text messaging program

If you opt in at checkout, LocalShopCart (Minervit LLC) sends you order-status text messages on the shop's behalf — for example when your order is accepted, ready, or declined. Each message is prefixed with the shop's name, so a text about a Special T Meats order begins “Special T Meats via LocalShopCart”. This program is limited to your own order updates; we do not send marketing texts.

  • Message frequency varies based on your order activity.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to cancel text messages at any time, or HELP for help.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Data retention

We keep order records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and no longer than necessary for those purposes.
